Access Now uses a secure third party website to register volunteers for its events. Those who sign up to volunteer must provide their name and email address. You can also register to volunteer for an event without sharing personal information by selecting “anonymous” as your contact name.

Information collected for reporting purposes is aggregated and no personal information is stored or shared. Third parties who receive reports are identified prior to collecting personal or other information. Volunteer email addresses are retained by Access Now to inform volunteers of future volunteer opportunities by a monthly email newsletter. You may opt out of being invited to future volunteer opportunities through a link at the bottom of the monthly volunteer opportunities newsletter or by emailing [email protected].

Event volunteer release forms are stored in the Access Now offices. Personal information from the release forms is not shared or stored in any other physical or online location.
Young People
Children are not eligible to use services that require submission of personal information, and we require that minors (under the age of 18) do not submit any personal information to us. This includes submitting personal information as part of a volunteer profile. If you are a minor, you can use these services only if used together with your parents or guardians. If you are a minor, you should seek guidance from your parents.
If Access Now begins to collect personal information from children, it will notify parents that it is being requested, disclose the reasons for collecting it, and disclose our intended use of it. Access Now will seek parental consent before collecting any personally identifiable information.
